God made you intentionally. He knows and loves you. You were created with gifts, for a purpose, and for a relationship with Him—now and forever.
God is perfect, and we are not. We have all chosen our own way. The Bible calls this sin, and it separates us from God.
But God did not leave us without hope. He sent His Son, Jesus Christ. Jesus lived without sin, died in our place, and rose again—making the way for us to come home to God.
This is the Good News: Jesus Christ died for our sins and rose again so that everyone who trusts in Him can be forgiven, receive eternal life, and begin a new relationship with God.
Forgiveness cannot be earned. It is God’s gift, received by turning to Jesus and trusting Him as Savior and Lord.
When you trust Jesus, you are forgiven, welcomed into God’s family, and given the Holy Spirit to help you follow Him. New life with God begins now—and continues forever.
You do not need to repair your life before coming to Jesus. Come honestly. Ask Him to forgive you. Trust Him, and begin walking with Him.
God has made Himself known.
Everything on this page is grounded in the Bible. We encourage you to read the verses for yourself and allow God’s Word—not Rooted & Faithful—to remain your final authority.

You Were Created and Loved by God
God made you intentionally. He knows you and loves you. You were created in His image with your own personality, abilities, experiences, and opportunities. He has given you gifts to use for good, and your deepest purpose is found in knowing Him, loving Him, reflecting His character, and faithfully using what He has entrusted to you.
God created you for a relationship with Him—not only for life on earth, but forever.
God Is Perfect, and We Are Not
God is completely good, perfect, and holy. We are not. We all think, choose, and act in ways that fall short of His goodness. The Bible calls this sin.
Sin is more than making mistakes. It includes choosing our own way instead of God’s way and living as though our lives belong entirely to us. Sin separates us from God, and we cannot remove that separation by trying harder, doing good things, or becoming more religious. Without Jesus, we remain separated from God and face His judgment.
Jesus Died and Rose Again to Save Us
God did not leave us without hope. He sent His Son, Jesus Christ, who lived without sin, died in our place, and rose from the dead.
Jesus took the punishment our sin deserved and made the way for us to be forgiven and brought back to God. He is not merely a teacher or an example. He is the Savior and the only way to the Father.
Jesus died and rose again so that we could have life with God.
You Can Receive God’s Gift
Forgiveness and eternal life cannot be earned. They are gifts of God’s mercy—He does not give us the judgment we deserve—and His grace—He gives us the life we could never earn.
We receive this gift by turning to Jesus, asking Him to forgive us, and trusting Him as our Savior and Lord. This means being honest about our sin, turning away from the belief that we can save or lead ourselves, and placing our confidence in Jesus. The Bible calls this repentance and faith.
You do not need to make yourself good enough before coming to Him. You can come with open hands and receive what He has done for you.
New Life With God Begins Now
When you trust in Jesus, you are forgiven, brought back to God, and welcomed into His family. Your past no longer defines your relationship with Him. In Christ, you are made new and given a secure place in God’s love.
God gives His Holy Spirit to everyone who belongs to Christ. The Holy Spirit stays with you, helps you understand what is true, gives wisdom and strength, and begins changing you from the inside out. As you walk with God, He gives your life new direction and teaches you to use what He has given you for good.
This relationship does not end when your life on earth ends. Everyone who belongs to Jesus will be with Him forever. One day, sorrow, pain, sin, and death will be gone, and God will live with His people in a world made new. This is the hope Jesus offers: life with God now and forever.
You Can Come to Jesus
You do not need to repair your life before approaching Him. Come honestly, bringing your sin, need, questions, weariness, and inability to save yourself.
- Come to Jesus honestly.
- Admit your sin and your need for forgiveness.
- Believe that Jesus died and rose again.
- Place your trust in Him rather than in your own goodness.
- Entrust your life to Him and ask Him to lead you.
You do not need perfect words. You need an honest heart turned toward Christ.
An Honest Response of Faith
Prayer does not earn salvation, nor do particular words save us. Jesus Christ saves. Prayer is simply one way to express an honest response of repentance, faith, and surrender to Him.
“If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.”Romans 10:9 ESV
Father, thank You for loving me and making a way for me to come home. I confess that I have sinned against You and cannot save myself. Thank You for sending Your Son so that I can be forgiven and restored to You.
Jesus, thank You for living the life I could not live, dying in my place, and rising again in victory. I turn from my sin and place my trust in You alone. Be my Savior and Lord. Teach me to follow You and rest in what You have done for me.
Holy Spirit, open my heart to God's truth. Come and work within me, guide my steps, strengthen me in weakness, and begin forming me into the likeness of Jesus. Amen.
